About the Chequers
Family run traditional village pub
The Chequers is exactly what you’d expect from a family run traditional country pub – great food in welcoming surroundings. The Chequers is 19th century traditional English pub, nestled in the idyllic countryside village of Barley. At The Chequers we guarantee the warmest of welcomes, excellent service, a fantastic range of drinks and fabulous food. We also understand that any good pub ought to be at the heart of the local community and we’re dedicated to hosting a range of events including quiz nights and evenings of live music that will bring people together and foster amusement.
